Abstract Fiber components form the standard not only in modern telecommunication but also for future quantum information technology. For high-performance single-photon detection, superconducting nanowire detectors (SPDs) are typically fabricated on a silicon chip and fiber-coupled easy handling usage. The fiber-to-chip interface hinders SPD from being an all-fiber device full utilization of its excellent performance. Here, we report scheme that is directly fiber tip. A bury-and-planar fabrication technique developed to improve roughness substrate detectors’ performance detection with amorphous molybdenum silicide (MoSi) nanowires. low material selectivity universal planar process enable packaging large scale. Such detector responds broad wavelength range 405 nm 1550 at dark count rate 100 cps. relaxation time response pulse ~ 15 ns, which comparable on-chip SPDs. Therefore, this free coupling systems.

Derivation of the resonator finesse in terms of fiber and directional coupler parameters is given. A finesse of 80 has been achieved experimentally.
